Prachi started working at Givens & Johnston, PLLC as a Law Clerk in 2015. As a Law Clerk her duties included legal research on international trade regulations, writing opinions/memoranda, and reviewing documents. Since successfully passing the Texas Bar exam in 2016 and obtaining her license from the State Bar of Texas, Prachi joined the firm as an attorney. Today, Prachi assists with a variety of legal research on international trade regulations, currency seizures, embargo and sanctions compliance, export licensing, and conducting due diligence regarding the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and False Claims Act (FCA) litigation. Prachi routinely handles various enforcement actions including petitions, penalties, seizures & forfeitures, and administrative inquiries
Prachi has also taken supporting roles in the review of classification issues for parts imported for vessel repair, values for foreign purchase parts, and applications for relief with regards to vessel repair.
Furthermore, Prachi is licensed to practice in her home country, India, and has substantial experience with Indian laws and culture, greatly benefiting the Indian community.
